Esperanza Community Housing and L.A. Grit Media, in partnership with WE RISE 2022, is proud to announce the First Annual South Central Film Festival.

The South Central Film Festival, aims to bring visibility to the beauty, strength, and wisdom in communities of color by amplifying emerging voices of Indigenous, Black, Brown, LGBTQIA2S+, immigrant, and people of all abilities. Recognizing that storytelling is medicine and a tool for cultural preservation, the South Central Film Festival is dedicated to promoting narratives that inspire healing and radical change.

Community Judges
The South Central Film Festival Official Judges are a distinguished group of talented individuals who generously dedicate their time and expertise to reviewing films for their artistic merit, storytelling, and impact.
